Foundational Cyber Security Awareness Course

A short foundational cyber security awareness course open to all members of the Manhattan College community

This course can be completed in under ten minutes and will guide you through how to identify and respond to the most common phishing attacks.

Do you focus your thoughts on creative solutions? Do you work well with others? Are you results-oriented?

Malicious criminals who use phishing tactics hope you are and to use your behavior against you. Please use care for your welfare and talk to your loved ones for their benefit of their welfare.

Network Outage: Kelly Commons - 12/15/2023 - RESOLVED

UPDATE: We have resolved this issue as of 9:35AM .

We are currently investigating a network outage in Kelly Commons that is affecting wired and wireless connectivity. We will post updates as we have them.

COMPLETE: Moodle Scheduled Maintenance - Friday 12/29/23 6PM to Saturday 12/30/23 2AM

UPDATE: As of approximately 11:00 PM Friday 12/29/2021, the Moodle scheduled maintenance and updates have been completed. Moodle is now AVAILABLE. Some users may need to clear their web history/cookies or restart their browser for the new changes to apply. 

COMPLETE: The Manhattan College Moodle system will be OFFLINE for system maintenance starting at 6PM on Friday 12/29/2023 and is expected to end Saturday 12/30/2023 at 2AM.  During this time, we will be upgrading the current Moodle 3.11 system to Moodle 4.3, as well as implementing important system updates in preparation for the 2024 academic year.

We anticipate that the maintenance will be completed between 12/29 6:00 PM - 12/30 2:00 AM during which time the Moodle system will be UNAVAILABLE.

Hiring Offer That Requires Use of a non-@manhattan.edu Email Address

 

"I assure you" meme regarding how we're not hiring remote student research positions that requires one hour of work for $370/week.

Be aware of a phishing attack offering remote job positions for students that explicitly states that the hiring professor prefers that applicants use their personal email accounts (as opposed to their individual @manhattan.edu email address) or mobile phone for hiring communications.

If you were not scammed, maybe a friend is in the process of being scammed. Talk to your friends about this. Maybe someone you care about will be impacted by this if you do not.
