ITS has been monitoring the Google Meet GridView extension problem. At this point we have identified the main problem being that some users have more than one GridView extension installed. Please reference these instructions for how to remove the second extension.
This double extension can be caused if you are using different gmail accounts. ITS recommends that you use Chrome profiles to prevent this from happening. Chrome profiles help to keep all of your different gmail accounts and apps separate. For more information about managing profiles please refer to the below links.

Users have also reported having issues viewing all the participants of a meeting during the meet. This could be because the GridView has many different viewing settings and needs to be tailored to the users viewing needs. For more information about the viewing features of the GridView check out this article.

Google Meet Grid View Issue
ITS has been made aware that some users are experiencing issues when using the GridView extension.
If you are experiencing an issue, we recommend that you use Google Meet’s native tile view. This is only temporary until the issue has been resolved by the developer.

Remote Working and Learning Feedback Needed!
As we have come to the end of a historical semester, ITS needs your feedback!
ITS is evaluating our services and response to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic in relation to the transition to online working and learning. We have specifically designed a survey for students, professors, and administration/staff to fill out.
If you fall into more than one of these categories, please fill out the correct surveys based on your roles. For example, if you are admin/staff but also took a class this semester you would fill out the Admin/Staff AND the Student survey.
These surveys are anonymous and ITS encourages you to please fill them out as thoroughly and honestly as you can.
Please note that you must be signed into your @manhattan.edu account to access the surveys.

Check out Manhattan College's First Ever ITS Chatbot Beta!
🎉 ITS would like to introduce our brand new Client Services & Operations Chatbot Beta! 🎉
For the first time ever ITS at Manhattan College will be rolling out a student developed Chatbot to assist the community with IT related issues. This Chatbot was entirely created by one of our STARS, Alberto DeAngelis ‘20, and was designed to bring you quick resolutions with the information you need to resolve potential issues you might encounter. You can ask the Chatbot questions about an issue you are having and it will quickly try to help you come to the best resolution and send you information from our knowledge base.
The Chatbot is running through Hangouts Chat and is easy to install. To install the Chatbot in your Hangouts please follow these instructions.
ITS is very excited about the deployment of the Chatbot Beta and would like to encourage you to take advantage of it! As this is a Beta version of a Chatbot we are looking for as much feedback as possible. Please fill out our CS&O Chatbot Survey and give us any feedback you may have.
