ITSBlog surpasses 50,000 pageviews

#50000 #TellITS - Earlier today, itsblog.manhattan.edu surpassed 50,000 pageviews since our first post in 2012.  Since then, we have seen a steady increase in the amount of readers of our blog.  ITSBlog has been a way to communicate important information about technology to the campus community.  ITSBlog is also displayed on various JasperNet sites (including the login page for service alerts).

There will be an internet and Jaspernet wireless outage Friday September 18 from 6:00am to 6:45am while we upgrade a critical piece of network infrastructure.

Problem identified on Moodle system

ITS received reports of database errors when using the moodle system this morning.
We believe that we have identified and corrected the issue.

Jaspernet Wireless and RLC Network Maintenance Friday 9/11 6:00am to 6:30am

ITS will perform maintenance on the Jaspernet wireless system and RLC network Friday September 11 from 6am to 6:30 am. 

During this time Jaspernet wireless and the RLC wired network will be unavailable. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Banner Chrome NPAPI Issue

Effective immediately, Banner and other Ellucian products will no longer work with the Chrome Browser.  Chrome no longer supports the NPAPI plugin and because of this, will not allow it to work with Banner forms and other Ellucian products.

Ellucian is recommending to customers to use alternative browsers.

Good choices are:

Internet Explorer (Not Edge - Windows 10, it has not yet been certified).

For Mac user,  the latest versions of either Safari or Firefox.
