Planned Outage - Banner & Self-Service Applications

Information Technology Services will be performing an Oracle patch to the Banner administrative system.  This scheduled maintenance will require that the Banner production system be off line on July 30th (Thursday) between 9:00pm - 11:00pm.

Monday August 10th ITS will be updating the Wifi (JASPERNET)

This means even better coverage and speed! The upgrade will begin August 10 at 6am and end by 7am. During that time and only at that time JASPERNET will be unavailable on most of our campus. This upgrade is being done for security updates and to highly increase compatibility with newer consumer devices.

Malware Alert Xerox Multifunction Printer

We have received a report that there is an email circulating from: "XeroxXRX9C9" with the subject "Scanned from a Xerox Multifunction Printer."
It seems that the file attached to the message contains malware.  Do NOT open this attachment.

Introducing 25LIVE - Event Planning and Promotion Made Easy

A new system to better manage room reservations, event planning, and event promotion is coming soon. The current online campus calendar and room reservation process will be replaced by a system called 25LIVE.

25LIVE will become available to the campus community the week of 8/3.  Watch out for updates leading up to the 8/3 launch for more information!

Verizon Network Issues affecting access to manhattan.edu for Verizon customers

An issue on the Verizon network is affecting access to manhattan.edu and major Internet sites including google.com and verizon.com for Verizon Wireless and FiOS customers.  Verizon customers having issues accessing manhattan.edu, Manhattan College Email (powered by Gmail), or other sites should contact Verizon support directly.

WARNING: Phishing attacks have started up again

Around 2:25 PM today an email was sent out from 'alegrand.student@manhattan.edu' that looked like the image below:

The email from 'alegrand.student@manhattan.edu' is a phishing scam and you should delete it immediately. Do not click on any links in the email and you should never submit your password to an online form other than our JasperNet Single Sign-On page.

If you submitted your password to the online form, please changing your password immediately by going to start.manhattan.edu and scrolling down to the link that says "Change password", and then contact us to clean up your account.

If you are worried that your account has been compromised, please go through Google's account Security Checkup:

Changes coming to Campus Calendar and Event Planning Process

A new system to better manage room reservations, event planning, and event promotion is coming soon. The current online campus calendar and room reservation process will be replaced by a system called 25LIVE. Training has already begun for key personnel and more information for the community will be available soon.

The new system will offer a streamlined workflow to facilitate many aspects of event planning including centralized room reservations and resource requests. Additionally, events that need to be promoted to the community can automatically be added to the online college calendar and digital signage without any extra work. Options to be notified of events via email and text message will also be available.  

Events for fall 2015 and beyond should no longer be entered in the current (old) campus events calendar.  A new process for entering campus events in 25LIVE will be announced in July.
