DUO MFA Support Sessions

ITS will be offering support sessions with members from the Technology Training team for those who will need to enable DUO Multi-Factor Authentication on their JasperNet accounts. Below please find more information about the drop-in training sessions. There is no signup required.

When:
  • December: 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd (all Wednesday’s) from 11:00am - 2:00pm

  • January: 5th, 12th, and 19th (all Wednesday’s) from 11:00am-2:00pm

Where: MGL 305 (Computer Lab)

Please remember to bring your cell phone to complete the setup.

Faculty Workload Submission and Approval Support Session Signup

ITS is offering a Faculty Workload submission and approval support sessions beginning today at 12pm and lasting through Friday. Faculty members can sign up for a support session here

The support session will ask the faculty member or chairperson to share their screen and a member of ITS will walk them through the process of submitting or approving a form.

Prioritized Support Monday 8/14 - Friday 8/25

ITS teams will be extremely busy closing out summer projects and preparing classrooms and computer labs for the Fall 2017 semester from Monday 8/14- Friday 8/25.  Response times will be slower than normal and priority will be given to classroom and network support requests.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Banner 9 After-Update Support

An update to the Banner Forms interface was applied on Saturday 7/22.  ITS will have extra support resources dedicated to "Banner 9" questions starting Monday 7/24. While the update only affects the user interface (UI) to Banner Forms, there are some minor navigation changes and enhancements - most notably "Application Navigator" which now allows you to search for forms rather than remembering the form name. No data is being changed as a result of the update and functional processes are expected to remain the same as "Banner 8".

Ellucian (Banner vendor) has also been made aware of the update and will have "functional" support personnel available to any offices with questions about Banner 9. Banner users are encouraged to make use of the Banner 9 documentation below as well as Ellucian support resources (in addition to ITS). In addition to attending the campus Workshop Sessions (above), some campus offices have already worked with Ellucian support to dive deeper into Banner 9 including taking advantage of new navigation shortcuts.

ITS Service Catalog

ITS has put together a Service Catalog so that the community can better understand what services are provided as well as what is covered under each service.  This is a work in progress.  Over time, new services will be generated and outdated services will be retired.  Aside from ITS services, you will also find some non ITS services and how to request them.

ITS Deploys New System for Service Requests

If you've logged a service ticket with ITS recently, you will notice that the email you received looks a little different.  That's because we've moved to a new ticketing system!

As part of our continued effort to improve customer service we have implemented a new Ticketing system called Team Dynamix.  This new system allows us to track all work in our department so we can better utilize our resources and communicate with you. 

Aside from the general service improvement you will notice an improved email and survey interface.  This system is much more user friendly than the system we have been using for the last 10 years. The surveys you receive will now reference the ticket title and number so you will be better able to rate our service.

Client Services Closure 8/12 - 8/13

All Client Services offices will be closed Monday August 12 - Tuesday August 13th due to mandatory staff training.  Please plan accordingly.  If you have any events planned for the 12th or 13th, please contact Client Services ASAP so that we can make arrangements with you.  We will respond to any voicemails and tickets received during this period on Wednesday August 14th.  We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Smart Classroom Training

Six more classrooms were renovated this summer. We took this opportunity to upgrade the control units which includes a new user interface.
We will be hosting training in August to show you how the new interface works.  During this training we will also offer refreshers on use of the old Smart Classroom technology as well as refreshers on use of technology in Classrooms that have not yet been renovated.  These sessions are by appointment only.  If you are interested in taking advantage of these sessions, please sign up here.
