Kelly Commons 5th Floor Projector Upgrades

As of April 15th, 2021 ITS has successfully completed projector upgrades in the Kelly Commons 5th floor. All projectors are currently up and running.

Podium Feature: "Video Mute" Projector Display without Powering Down

Using “Video Mute” aka “Video Blank” stops the projector display without powering down the whole system.

Need to work on the PC privately? Or do you want to switch between the whiteboard and the projector but not wait for cool down and warm up times?

Quickly stop projecting the PC display to the projector by following the steps listed below.  Your audience will no longer be able to see the PC display once the projector is “muted.”

From a Crestron podium select VIDEO MUTE to stop the projector from displaying.

From a White Hall podium select VID BLNK to stop the projector display.

In an unrenovated classroom press BLANK on the remote to stop the projector display.

New Resources Added in 25Live

In 25Live, “Resources” are items or services your event may need, such as technical equipment:

• Projector 
• Microphone  (podium or wireless handheld) 
• Laptop 
• Audio Visual (AV) Assistance

You can either add these when you submit your space request, or you can go back to the event record and add the Resource. One of the most important steps in requesting services for your event when your first submit your space request.

If you are creating the request, ‘Resources’ is the screen after you select the location.

Projector Auto Sleep being Enabled on Campus

In our continued efforts toward sustainability we have decided to implement an automated sleep timer on the projectors.  To balance class interruptions, projectors will turn off after four hours of non use.  As always, we encourage you to turn off the projectors when you are done with your classes.
